Household Expense Tools is a free browser-based website for simple household calculations, daily expense tracking, grocery budget estimates, food waste estimates, unit price comparison, laundry cost estimates, and household shopping value comparisons.

Current live tools

Current tools include Daily Expense Tracker, Grocery Budget Calculator, Food Waste Cost Calculator, Grocery Unit Price Calculator, Laundry Cost Calculator, and Toilet Paper Value Calculator.

Personal use

The tools are intended for personal household organization. They are not built as professional bookkeeping, accounting, tax, banking, or investment software.

No account system

The tools do not require a login, account, password, or backend profile. The Daily Expense Tracker saves entries in your browser, and the calculators use entered values for one-time calculations.

Storage responsibility

Saved entries depend on your browser

The Daily Expense Tracker saves entries in your current browser using localStorage. The other calculators are designed for one-time calculations and do not save calculator values.

Your entries are stored locally

Expense entries are not saved in a Household Expense Tools backend database. They stay in the current browser unless you delete them or your browser removes them.

Your entries may not transfer

Entries saved in one browser or device will not automatically appear in another browser or device because the Daily Expense Tracker does not include cloud sync.

Your entries may be lost

Saved entries may be removed if you clear browser data, clear site storage, use private browsing, reset your browser, uninstall your browser, or change devices.

You are responsible for important records

If you need records for tax, accounting, legal, business, or official purposes, keep separate copies using your own trusted recordkeeping method.

No professional advice

The tools are not financial or legal advice

The Daily Expense Tracker calculates totals from saved browser entries. The calculators estimate results from the prices, quantities, rates, and other values you enter. Accuracy depends on the information you provide.

User-entered data

You are responsible for checking the amounts, categories, dates, notes, prices, quantities, units, and other values you enter into the tools.

No guaranteed savings

The site does not promise savings, income growth, debt reduction, budget improvement, or any financial result.

Currency symbols

Currency symbols are used only for display. The calculators do not convert money between currencies or update exchange rates.

No official records

Browser-saved entries should not be treated as a replacement for bank statements, bills, receipts, invoices, tax records, or accounting records.
